As a first-generation college student and a proud Bowie State University alum, Mardi’s work sits at the intersection of innovative design and social advocacy. Their practice is driven by a commitment to breaking barriers as a Black, queer creator, utilizing visual storytelling to champion representation and drive meaningful community impact.
As the CEO of Mazopal Design and MC Studios, Mardi specializes in digital design, brand identity, and advertising illustration. Their professional journey is marked by prestigious accolades, including being a multi-year UNCF Target Scholar, a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) scholar, and an HBCU Universe "30 Under 30" Honoree in Arts, Media, and Culture.
Mardi’s influence extends into the tech and media sectors as being an former Adobe Student Ambassador and an Essence Girls United featured advocate. With professional experience ranging from product design at Target Headquarters to producing the debut "The Ra’s Series," Mardi blends technical expertise with a distinct "Gen Z energy."
