Ms. Beverly is the author of two books and her poetry is featured in many anthologies. Poetry is her passion.

In the mid-1990s, Ladi Di founded the youth group Girls and Boys with Hearts, teaching styles of poetry and sharing opportunities with our youth for over 20 years. During this time the children had opportunities to present on stages, radio, and television. Some still write poetry today and are authors.

For the past 15 years, she has been Volunteer Poetry Club facilitator for Harmony Halls’ Seniors. She works with the Harmony Hallers sharing poetry of other well-known poets, local poets and has invited local authors as special guests. Over the years, she performs on special occasions and has served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the Harmony Hallers. During these recent pandemic times, Ladi Di has hosted several tele-conference workshops where each poet enjoys talking, praying, writing, and reading their poetry. Several members of the Harmony Hallers are now published authors.

Ladi Di shares her poetry throughout the DMV, other states, and has travelled as far as London, England to perform. Her poetry appears in the British anthology, “Whose Equality” where she is the only American Poet.

She has initiated numerous programs for Prince George’s County schools and public libraries. Presenting tributes to her hero, the late Dr. Maya Angelou, she has produced and starred. Several years ago, Ladi Di was co-producer and presenter in “Honoring a King” at Publick Playhouse. This was a poetic skit of music song and poetry. There were several hundred people in attendance that gave an ovation of appreciation at the end.

Since it’s existence, Ladi Di has been an active member of the Anointed PENS, (Poets Empowered to Nurture Souls out of Ebeneezer A.M.E. church poetry ministry. ) During many of their programs, she will host open mic. Presently she is membership chair of the Anointed PENS.

She produced and presented “Males Making A Difference in Our World “. Men sharing their stories on how they have made a positive impact in their communities.

Ladi Di is one of 6 County poets selected to present poetry in Poetry Poster Project. She has submitted her poems at various events where 12 framed poems have hung. This includes reading at the Maryland House of Delegates in Annapolis.

She is one of three poets that accepted an invitation to tour the Woodlawn Plantation. While there, she wrote poems, and the poems and poetic messages keep coming. Now “Voices of Woodlawn” is a powerful new presentation that premiered at Creative Suitland by 5 poets and should be seen by everyone.

Ladi Di has been an avid supporter of the new art center in Suitland, Maryland. (Creative Suitland). Since the beginning, she has provided ideas for the center, organized, hosted, and presented a number of programs. She attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the Grand Opening for Creative Suitland.
