Community Voices Shape the Future of the BLC Civic Plaza Mural

The Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) hosted a Community Selection Panel on Thursday, October 9th, to gather community feedback on the artist chosen for the BLC Civic Plaza Mural, which will be installed later this year at the Wayne K. Curry Administration Building.

In this virtual event, attendees enjoyed brief, inspiring presentations by twelve local artists, who shared the artistic vision behind their work, its personal significance, and what they hope to bring to the community.

Bryane Broadie, a talented artist from Prince George’s County, was chosen through community voting and detailed review to realize his artistic vision at BLC Civic Plaza. Stay tuned for upcoming community engagement sessions, where Broadie will facilitate meaningful exchanges to gather community input and feedback for what will become a cultural landmark in Prince George’s County.
