What Our Partners Help Us Do

Our partners power every corner of our mission. Through these strategic collaborations, we:

  • Expand access to arts education and youth enrichment opportunities

  • Support creative workforce development and entrepreneurship capacity building for emerging artists and entrepreneurs

  • Bring public art and cultural programming to communities across the County

  • Activate spaces for storytelling, performance, and creative placemaking

  • Build cross-sector relationships that uplift local voices and preserve cultural heritage

Our Strategic Partnerships

Education & Youth Engagement

  • This long-term MOU supports student internships, faculty engagement, and collaborative programs in film, fashion, media arts, and performance. Together, we co-founded the Prince George’s Film Festival and have created events like BSU Goes to Broadway, bringing over 50 students to New York to engage directly with professional creatives.

  • We collaborate on artist-in-residence programs, student exhibitions, and the PGATI teacher conference, providing professional development in arts integration and supporting young creatives in the classroom and beyond.

  • Together, we support literacy and creative engagement through the Office of the Poet Laureate, the Pebble Pop-Up Library at Arts’tination, and planning for the future Central Library and Cultural Center in Largo, MD.

Creative Placemaking & Public Art

  • Our agreement with WMATA allows us to bring public art to transit stations across the Countyβ€”transforming everyday spaces into vibrant cultural touchpoints through sculpture, murals, and performance.

  • PGAHC leads arts-based community development along the Blue Line Corridor, activating civic spaces, creating public art installations, and hosting events that reflect the identity and vision of the communities we serve.

    Key partners include:

    • LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation)

    • The Capital Market – Maryland

    • Prince George’s County Planning Office – Placemaking Division

    • Largo Town Center Association & Largo Civic Association

    • City of Seat Pleasant

    • Town of Fairmount Heights

    • Town of Capitol Heights

  • PGAHC is a key partner in the Creative Suitland initiative, aimed at revitalizing Suitland, Maryland, into a vibrant cultural center. By leveraging the arts for economic growth and community engagement, PGAHC has plans to integrate public art, creative spaces, and cultural programs into the redevelopment plan. PGAHC has co-facilitated community input through meetings and design charrettes, ensuring the project reflects the collective identity of its residents. This community-driven approach aims to create a space that resonates with everyone involved.

Creative Hubs & Economic Development

  • DPARK 3311 serves as a creative incubator and entrepreneurship hub for emerging designers, filmmakers, and visual artists. Through workforce training, showcases, and industry engagement, we help artists grow careers rooted in equity, culture, and innovation.

  • Our retail gallery space gives local artists a platform to exhibit, sell, and connect with new audiences in one of the County’s most visited cultural destinations.

  • As a partner in Maryland’s first state-certified Public Art Apprenticeship Program, we help prepare residents for creative careers in mural-making, urban design, and community-based public art projects.

  • Launched in May 2025, this partnership supports creative entrepreneurs through a two-track accelerator programβ€”one for early-stage businesses and one for growth-phase creatives. With a focus on capacity building, financial literacy, marketing, and business scaling, the program equips artists and cultural practitioners with the tools they need to thrive in today’s creative economy.

Film & Storytelling

  • Launched in collaboration with Bowie State University, the Prince George’s Film Festival elevates local filmmakers, connects students to career opportunities, and positions the County as a rising creative hub. Partners include artists, curators, media professionals, and faculty committed to nurturing film as a powerful form of cultural storytelling.
