Celebrating Creative Growth: PGAHC Honors Inaugural Creative Accelerator Cohorts
The energy was electric as the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) recently hosted a vibrant Milestone Celebration to honor the incredible achievements of the inaugural Creative Accelerator cohort. Held at Arts’tination, the event brought together artists, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and program partners to recognize the growth, innovation, and resilience of our local creative economy.
Launched to empower Prince George’s County-based creatives with the tools, training, and resources to build sustainable, thriving businesses, the Creative Accelerator program has served as a dynamic incubator for emerging talent. Through a series of workshops, mentorship sessions, and hands-on support, the cohort participants refined their business strategies, expanded their networks, and developed the confidence to pursue their creative careers with purpose and power.
PGAHC’s CEO and Chief Curator, Rhonda Dallas, along with key program partners and community stakeholders, took the stage to commend the cohort’s accomplishments. “This moment is a testament to what happens when investment meets imagination,” Dallas shared. “These creatives are not only culture makers—they are job creators, community builders, and vital contributors to our local economy.”
Throughout the evening, attendees had the opportunity to connect with cohort members and hear firsthand stories of growth and transformation. From fashion designers to filmmakers, visual artists to multimedia storytellers, the cohort represents the full spectrum of Prince George’s County’s creative potential.
The celebration also underscored PGAHC’s ongoing commitment to advancing economic equity and access for the creative community. With strong support from our program partners and collaborators, the Creative Accelerator continues to serve as a launchpad for artists eager to elevate their vision to the next level.
As we look ahead, we celebrate not just a milestone, but a movement. The future of Prince George’s County is creative, and it’s only just beginning.
