Poetry, Art & Music – Mixin’ It Up!

Get ready for an inspiring evening of words, visuals, and sound at Poetry, Art & African Drumming a free cultural event happening at National Harbor.

This unique program brings together three dynamic voices in the arts: Diane Wilbon Parks, an award-winning poet and visual artist; Doc Powell, a master djembe drummer known for his powerful rhythms; and Sistah Joy, an acclaimed poet who will moderate the evening and share her own work.

The event will feature live performances, stunning artwork, and an engaging Q&A session where audience members can connect directly with the artists. Whether you’re a poetry lover, an art enthusiast, or simply curious about the energy of African drumming, this program offers something for everyone.
