ABOUT THE WORKSHOP FACILITATORS

Mark A. Lawrence, Innovator. Social Entrepreneur. Ecosystem Builder

Mark Lawrence is a visionary leader and innovator committed to transforming communities through the enabling power of entrepreneurship, innovation, and ecosystem building. With over 26 years of experience—eight as an entrepreneur and 18 in leadership roles at two “Big 4” consulting firms—Mark blends strategic insight with grassroots impact.

He is the founder and managing partner of Inncuvate, an award-winning full-stack, entrepreneurship-led economic development enterprise headquartered in Largo, Maryland. Inncuvate creates purpose-built programs and places that merge ideation, invention, incubation, and commercialization into innovation hubs that drive inclusive prosperity.

Most recently, Mark has led the design and implementation of the Creative Business Accelerator in partnership with the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC). This initiative is strategically advancing the county’s creative economy by aligning entrepreneurial support, community engagement, and funding pathways for artists and creative entrepreneurs. Through tailored programming, 1:1 coaching, and infrastructure planning, Mark is working closely with PGAHC to position the accelerator as a long-term driver of economic opportunity in the region.

Prior to founding Inncuvate, Mark held senior roles in management consulting, including as a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Technology Consulting practice and as an Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. He has advised C-suite executives across federal agencies and Fortune 500 firms, leading major technology and transformation initiatives. Mark also brings deep expertise in business development, capture strategy, and partnership cultivation.

An active ecosystem builder, Mark serves on several entrepreneurship boards and is the current Board Chair of the Startup Champions Network, a national nonprofit supporting entrepreneurial ecosystem leaders.
