PGAHC Represents Prince George’s County at the 2026 Maryland Arts Summit
The Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) was proud to represent Prince George’s County at the 2026 Maryland Arts Summit, held June 16–17 at the Center for Performing Arts at Prince George’s Community College in Largo.
Bringing together artists, arts advocates, educators, cultural organizations, county arts agencies, and community leaders from across the state, the annual Summit creates space to exchange ideas, build connections, and explore opportunities to strengthen Maryland’s arts and humanities sector.
Throughout the Summit, the PGAHC team connected with attendees and shared information about the programs, services, grants, resources, and opportunities available to artists and creative organizations throughout Prince George’s County.
PGAHC Deputy Director Kisha Mason also helped open the two-day gathering as a featured panelist during the Opening Plenary, joining arts and humanities leaders Lindsey Baker, Steven Skerritt-Davis, and Rob Forloney for a conversation about the opportunities and challenges facing the sector and the importance of greater collaboration between the arts and humanities.
Beyond the opening conversation, the Summit offered PGAHC an opportunity to participate in sessions, connect with colleagues from across Maryland, exchange ideas, and bring new perspectives back to our work in Prince George’s County.
We were especially pleased to welcome the statewide arts community to Prince George’s County and to share the many ways PGAHC continues to support and champion our local creative community.
