Call for Creative Changemakers: Share Your Work at The Vision Is Yours Conference
Are you an artist, activist, creative entrepreneur, or community organizer who’s been using your voice to make public spaces more vibrant, inclusive, and reflective of your community? Then this is your moment.
We're excited to share a powerful opportunity for creatives, changemakers, and cultural strategists across the region:
The Vision Is Yours: Placemaking & Placekeeping Conference is now accepting proposals for speakers and sessions—and they want to hear from you.
This two-day regional gathering, hosted by the Neighborhood Design Center (NDC), will bring together artists, planners, designers, funders, and hands-on community leaders who are shaping the future of public space.
Whether your superpower is:
sparking joy through murals and pop-ups,
building neighborhood coalitions around vacant lots,
preserving legacy spaces and cultural landmarks,
or organizing local campaigns that center art, culture, and equity...
...this is your chance to share your story, lead a session, or host a workshop with fellow visionaries doing the work.

Why It Matters
At PGAHC, we believe artists aren’t just observers of place—they’re architects of change. The Vision Is Yours conference is about celebrating and sustaining that impact. This is more than a stage—it’s a platform to shift narratives, deepen partnerships, and keep community-rooted creativity at the heart of how we build.
If you’ve been dreaming, doing, or designing for your neighborhood—step into this spotlight.
Deadline to submit is coming soon—don’t wait.
Spread the word. Tag your artist friends. Invite your collaborators. Let’s make sure Prince George’s County voices are well represented.
