Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council Celebrates FY25 Community Grant Award Recipients
Largo, MD, May 5, 2025––The Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) is thrilled to announce the recipients of its highly anticipated FY25 Community Grants Program in the Arts in Education, County Arts and Artist Fellowships categories. These grants are designed to support local artists, cultural organizations, and initiatives that enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of our community.

These grant recipients were selected based on the creativity, impact, and feasibility of their proposed projects and represent the diverse talents and innovative endeavors that contribute to the vibrancy and richness of Prince George’s County. Their projects span a wide range of artistic disciplines, from visual arts and music to literature, film and community engagement initiatives.
PGAHC’s CEO and Chief Curator, Rhonda Dallas, expressed excitement about the awarded projects, stating, "We are thrilled to support these talented artists and organizations who play a vital role in fostering creativity and cultural expression within Prince George’s County. Their projects will undoubtedly inspire, educate, and engage audiences of all ages."
The Community Grant Program is a testament to the PGAHC's commitment to fostering a thriving arts and cultural ecosystem within our county. Through these grants, PGAHC aims to empower artists and organizations to bring their creative visions to life, enriching the lives of residents and visitors alike.
“We are incredibly excited about the innovative and impactful projects we are funding this year,” said PGAHC’s Director of Community Grants and Partnerships , Sherri Bryant Moore. Which range from historic documentaries about fascinating “hidden figures” in Prince George’s County to new music, artwork, creative community collaborations around the environment and social issues, and arts-education programs for PGCPS youth K-12.”
The Prince George’s County Council, restored some funding for the program in FY24 and FY26, , PGAHC was able to offer all categories for its Community Grants Program. Twenty-five grants were awarded to artists, arts organizations and schools representing every Councilmanic District in Prince George’s County.
