Largo, MD, 5, 2026––The Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) is thrilled to announce the recipients of its FY26 Community Grants Program in the Arts in Education, County Arts and Artist Fellowships categories.
These grants are designed to support local artists, cultural organizations, and initiatives that enrich the artistic and cultural landscape of our community. New in FY26, special consideration was given for projects commemorating the country’s 250th Anniversary to encouraged arts and cultural projects that commemorate, celebrate, or illuminate various aspects of Prince George’s history.
Following a competitive selection process, the PGAHC is pleased to award twenty-seven grants to the following recipients: (Click here for additional information about grantees.)

These grant recipients were selected based on the creativity, impact, and feasibility of their proposed projects and represent the diverse talents and innovative endeavors that contribute to the vibrancy and richness of Prince George’s County. Their projects span a wide range of artistic disciplines, from visual arts and music to literature, film and community engagement initiatives. Ten of these grants supported innovative 250th Anniversary projects.
PGAHC’s CEO and Chief Curator, Rhonda Dallas, expressed excitement about the awarded projects, stating, "We are thrilled to support these talented artists and organizations who play a vital role in fostering creativity and cultural expression within Prince George’s County. Their projects will undoubtedly inspire, educate, and engage audiences of all ages."
The Community Grant Program is a testament to the PGAHC's commitment to fostering a thriving arts and cultural ecosystem within our county. Through these grants, PGAHC aims to empower artists, cultural practitioners and organizations to bring their creative visions to life, enriching the lives of residents and visitors alike.
“We are incredibly excited about the innovative and impactful projects we are funding this year,, including those focusing on the County’s 250th Anniversary from a Prince George’s County, perspective” said PGAHC’s Director of Community Grants and Partnerships , Sherri Bryant Moore, which range from historic cultural programs, a digital archival project in Prince George’s County, to new music, artwork, accessible, creative community programs for seniors and collaborations social issues, and arts-education programs for PGCPS youth K-12.” Grants were awarded to artists, arts organizations and schools representing every Councilmanic District in Prince George’s County.
The Community Grants program is generously supported by a FY26 Prince George’s County Council grant and the National Endowment for the Arts Grants for Arts Projects regranting award for local arts agencies.
