What’s Been Going On: PGAHC at the Largo Lot Party
On October 21, 2025, the Largo Lot Party and Walking Tour brought residents, creatives, and community partners together to activate public space and imagine the future of Largo. The event, hosted by the Largo Town Center Development Board, featured live music, interactive art, wellness activities, food vendors, and a walking tour of local placemaking projects and upcoming developments in the Downtown Largo area.

Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) was proud to be a sponsor and arts partner for the event, supporting the public art installation created by local artist Luther Wright. His vibrant, hand-painted planters served as both artistic expression and environmental infrastructure—adding color, life, and meaning to the community space.
Located within the Metro Pointe Rain Garden, the planters now serve as a lasting reminder of the power of art in placemaking and environmental awareness.
This partnership reflects PGAHC’s ongoing commitment to creative placemaking throughout the Blue Line Corridor and beyond, uplifting artists and communities through accessible, community-driven public art.
Special thanks to Largo Town Center and the many community partners who helped make the event possible.
