Announcing the Selected Muralist for Fairmount Heights: Miss Chelove

As part of the Blue Line Corridor Creative Placemaking Initiative, the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) is proud to announce the selection of Cita Sadeli (Miss Chelove) as the lead artist for the upcoming public art mural in Fairmount Heights.

The mural will be located at the Fairmount Heights Net Zero Energy Homes Pocket Park at 715 60th Place, Fairmount Heights, MD. This project is one of three community-informed public art installations taking place across the inner beltway municipalities of the Blue Line Corridor, including the City of Seat Pleasant, Town of Capitol Heights, and Town of Fairmount Heights.

Miss Chelove is a Prince George’s County-based artist known for her vibrant, large-scale murals that reflect cultural identity, resilience, and heritage. A Hyattsville native now living in Brentwood’s Gateway Arts District, her work has been featured across the DMV and internationally, with commissions completed in Pakistan, Colombia, Belgium, and Uganda. Her multidisciplinary background and community-driven approach make her an exciting fit for this site.

This project represents a powerful step forward in the town’s ongoing revitalization efforts, combining public art with cultural preservation and environmental innovation.

Stay tuned for updates as the mural progresses, and follow along as we continue our work activating public spaces across the Blue Line Corridor through art, storytelling, and creative placemaking.
