What’s Been Going On: PGAHC Supports Launch of the 20743 Coalition

On October 14, 2025, local leaders, organizations, and residents gathered at Mini Plaza in Capitol Heights to launch the 20743 Coalition—a historic partnership between the Town of Capitol Heights, City of Seat Pleasant, and Town of Fairmount Heights. This unified effort aims to accelerate inclusive economic development along the Blue Line Corridor in Prince George’s County.

The event marked the official formation of the coalition and the unveiling of a shared vision to improve housing, small business support, and community well-being. In partnership with LISC D.C., the coalition will focus on strategic investment in the 20743 ZIP code and surrounding communities.

Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) was on-site with a community engagement tent, supporting the coalition’s emphasis on arts-based placemaking and cultural strategy. As the lead on the public art vision for the Blue Line Corridor, PGAHC continues to play a key role in ensuring that creativity and culture are central to the region’s revitalization efforts.
