Welcome to the New pgahc.org

We’re excited to officially announce the launch of the new Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) website — a refreshed digital home for our vibrant arts and culture community.

Launching on Monday, May 12, 2025, the redesigned site is more than a visual update — it’s a user-friendly, resource-rich platform built with the needs of artists, residents, partners, and cultural stakeholders at its core. Whether you're applying for a grant, exploring artist opportunities, attending an upcoming event, or learning more about our public art and placemaking programs, the new pgahc.org makes it easier than ever to connect and engage.

What’s New on the Website

Streamlined Navigation

Find what you need faster with a clean layout and intuitive structure. The new site is organized by audience and purpose — so whether you're an artist, educator, partner, or community member, you’ll get right to the information that matters to you.

Restructured Programs Under “Art of Place”

Public Art, Creative Placemaking, and our Apprenticeship Program are now united under the Art of Place initiative — a bold new identity that reflects PGAHC’s commitment to shaping community through culture. Each program has a dedicated page with project highlights and ways to get involved.

Robust Events & Blog Section

From festivals and artist showcases to panel discussions and neighborhood activations, our new Events and Blog sections offer a dynamic window into PGAHC's impact in real time. Recap videos, storytelling, and artist features help you stay inspired and informed.

Improved Community Grants Section

Our Community Grants area has been redesigned to make information more accessible and easier to understand. Grant categories, eligibility requirements, and application steps are now broken into digestible sections, so artists and organizations can confidently navigate the funding process and get the support they need.

Expanded Partner Page

We’ve redesigned our Partnerships Page to highlight PGAHC’s strategic collaborations with schools, agencies, nonprofits, and community leaders. You’ll find a categorized breakdown of our work in arts education, economic development, public art, and placemaking—with a call to action for new partners to join us.

Artist Opportunities & Public Artist Registry

Artists can now browse apprenticeship opportunities, submit to the Public Artist Registry, and learn more about creative job and grant opportunities—all in one place. The site is designed to make it easier for artists to thrive in Prince George’s County.

Blue Line Corridor & Cultural Arts Strategy

Dedicated pages spotlight our leadership in place-based planning and cultural policy, including the Blue Line Corridor initiative and the Prince George’s County Cultural Arts Study. These pages show how PGAHC is helping shape the County’s growth through creative vision and cultural investment.

Built With Our Community in Mind

This redesign was a community-driven effort—shaped by feedback from artists, creatives, educators, and cultural leaders across the County. Our goal is to provide a more accessible, inspiring, and action-driven experience for everyone who cares about arts and culture in Prince George’s County.

We invite you to explore the new site beginning May 12 at www.pgahc.org and discover how we’re continuing to champion creativity, equity, and expression in every corner of our community.
