Reliving the Magic of PGFF 2025: “Take Four” Was One for the Books
From September 26 to October 4, 2025, the Prince George’s Film Festival (PGFF) returned for its fourth year with “Take Four” — a four-day celebration of storytelling, creativity, and connection.
Presented by the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC) in partnership with the Prince George’s Film Office, this year’s festival brought together filmmakers, students, creatives, and community members for a robust lineup of panels, workshops, and film screenings — all hosted at Bowie State University with screenings at Greenbelt Theatre.
This year’s format leaned into education and industry insight, offering back-to-back sessions that gave attendees practical tools, insider tips, and opportunities to connect with professionals in the field.

In addition to these learning opportunities, PGFF 2025 also presented a series of spotlight film screenings, which included:
“Perfectly Us” – A heartfelt story advocating for disability inclusion
“Becoming Thurgood: America’s Social Architect” – A powerful documentary chronicling the legacy of Thurgood Marshall
“Stand Together as One – The Famine, The Music, The Impact” – A film reflecting on the cultural and global significance of one of history’s largest musical charity movements
The festival closed with an awards presentation honoring filmmakers and creatives whose work captured the spirit of innovation and community impact.
