Bringing Film to the Community: Movies in the Park 2025

On Saturday, August 16, 2025, families, neighbors, and film lovers gathered under the stars at Goodwin Park in Seat Pleasant for an unforgettable evening of summer fun and outdoor cinema — and PGAHC’s Prince George’s Film Officewas proud to be part of it.

In partnership with the City of Seat Pleasant, the Film Office helped bring the magic of the movies to the community through Movies in the Park — a free, family-friendly event filled with music, games, snacks, and a big-screen film experience.

Guests arrived early with lawn chairs and picnic blankets in hand, enjoying pre-show entertainment and a relaxed, joyful vibe. As the sun set, the crowd settled in for a feel-good film screening that capped off a perfect summer night.

Events like this are a shining example of how the arts can bring people together in simple but powerful ways. PGAHC and the Prince George’s Film Office are committed to making the creative experience more accessible across the County — and that includes creating space for joy, storytelling, and shared memories in neighborhoods like Seat Pleasant.

Thank you to our partners at the City of Seat Pleasant for making it all possible — and to everyone who joined us for a magical movie night in the park.
